ROPE Language Reference - "$tcp_syn".

This Rope register contains the SYN control flag from the TCP/IP packet being inspected. This is a one-bit field that means "Synchronize sequence numbers" if it is set (value 1).

This field is only relevant for TCP/IP packets, and will contain the value 0 for others types.
