A ROPE script consists of "words" that do things to the stack. Some ROPE syntax elements just get pushed onto the stack (like: numbers and strings), whilest others cause actions to be taken. These actions typically take (pop) values off the stack, manipulate them and then put (push) the result back.
ROPE "action words" are spelled out in lower case and consist of letters, digits and under-bars. LanguageReference lists the known words and provides links to pages describing their actions.
