Proposed Protector features.

This page lists features that I intend to add to protector shortly, or that I have been asked to add. If you want to register your vote for a particular feature on this list (or to ask that I add one), then please send an e-mail to protector@lowth.com with a quick note to say which proposed feature you are interested in. I plan to work on these features in approximate order of interest expressed by users. So sending me your "vote" for a feature will mean that I'll probably deliver it sooner.

• StarOffice documents - recognising and checking of StarOffice documents. [this is now part of version 1.01-beta11].
• OpenOffice documents - recognising and checking of OpenOffice documents.
• PDF documents - more intellegent handling of PDF documents - to detect active content rather than simply rejecting or allowing them all.
• Warning bounce option - option to automatically send an e-mail to the sender of an e-mail wiith rejected attachments to inform him or her of the problem.
• Bounce option - option to bounce mails with rejected attachments back to the sender, rather than deliver them in "editted" form.
• Signed mails - handling of mails signed with GPG or PGP signtatures. Currently protector makes such messages appear to have been tampered with under certain circumstances. This is rather more than a bug fix!
